Terms of Service

Clear, fair terms designed to protect both you and Sana Painting throughout every project we work on together.

    Last updated: 26 April 2026

We've written these Terms in plain English so they're easy to understand. If anything here is unclear, please get in touch before accepting a quote and we'll happily walk you through it.

    1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the services provided by Sana Painting (ABN 39 799 012 199) ("we", "us", "our") to our customers ("you", "your"). By requesting a quote, accepting a quote, or engaging us to perform painting services, you agree to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other rights you have that cannot legally be excluded.

    2. Quotes & Pricing

All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated in writing. Quotes are based on the scope of work, site conditions, and materials discussed at the time of inspection.

If the scope changes — for example additional surfaces, repairs discovered during preparation, or a change in colour or finish — we will discuss any variation with you and provide a written update before proceeding. You will not be charged for additional work without your prior approval.

    3. Bookings & Scheduling

Once a quote is accepted, we will confirm a start date in writing. We make every reasonable effort to start and complete work on schedule. Occasionally weather, supplier delays, or unforeseen site conditions may impact timing — we will keep you informed throughout.

If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours' notice where possible so we can accommodate other clients.

    4. Payments

For most residential projects, no deposit is required. For larger projects (typically over $5,000) we may request a deposit of up to 20% to secure materials and scheduling. Any deposit terms will be clearly set out in your quote.

Final payment is due within 7 days of project completion, unless other terms are agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and major card payments. Late payments may incur a reasonable administration fee after a written reminder.

    5. Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work. Sana Painting provides a 5-year workmanship warranty on interior and exterior painting, covering defects such as peeling, flaking, or blistering caused by faulty application.

    This warranty does not cover:

    • Damage caused by structural movement, water ingress, or building defects
    • Surfaces affected by mould, rot, or pre-existing substrate issues disclosed before work began
    • Normal wear and tear, fading from UV exposure beyond manufacturer specifications, or damage from cleaning with harsh chemicals
    • Work carried out or altered by others after our completion

Manufacturer warranties on paint products apply separately and are passed on to you in full.

    6. Site Access & Preparation

To complete work safely and on time, we ask that you:

    • Provide safe and reasonable access to all areas being painted
    • Remove or secure valuable, fragile, or sentimental items where possible
    • Advise us of any known hazards (asbestos, lead paint, electrical issues, pets, etc.)
    • Ensure power and water are available on site

We will protect floors, furniture, and fixtures with drop sheets and masking. If hazardous materials such as lead-based paint or asbestos are discovered, work will pause and we will discuss safe options with you before continuing.

    7. Cancellations

You may cancel a booked project at any time. If cancellation occurs:

    • More than 7 days before the start date — no charge.
    • Within 7 days of the start date — we may charge for any custom-tinted paint or materials already purchased on your behalf.
    • After work has commenced — you will be invoiced for work completed and materials used to that point, at the rates set out in your quote.

    8. Liability

We carry full public liability insurance for the protection of our clients and our team. We take great care on every job, but to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to either re-performing the work or refunding the amount paid for the affected portion of the work, at our option.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for damage caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

    9. Photography

We may take before and after photos of completed work for our portfolio, website, and social media. We will never share identifying information about your home or family. If you'd prefer we don't photograph your project, just let us know — there's no issue at all.

    10. Disputes

If something isn't right, please contact us first — most concerns can be resolved quickly with a conversation. If we can't reach a resolution, either party may refer the matter to Consumer and Business Services (CBS) South Australia. These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia.

    11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your project is the one published on our website at the date your quote is accepted.
